More about Colon Hydrotherapy
WHAT TO EXPECT IN A COLON HYDROTHERAPY SESSION
Our colon hydrotherapy sessions begin with the client completing a health questionnaire.
This questionnaire will focus on your past health history, current symptoms and your reason for
choosing to have colon hydrotherapy. This is an opportunity for us to become familiar with your health
history and for you to ask questions. You will be with us on your first visit about 1 1/2 hours with
the therapy part of the session being 45-50 minutes. This takes place in a relaxed environment where
the colon therapist maintains your modesty and dignity.
In the session, there is an infusion of warm, filtered water into the colon via the rectum, utilizing
a small disposable tube called a speculum. The speculum connects to tubing that goes to the colon
hydrotherapy instrument which regulates the pressure and temperature of the water. The incoming water
enters the colon at a very low pressure and when the client feels fullness in the colon, the water
exits through a tube that is also connected to the speculum, carrying out the contents of the colon
that are ready to evacuate at that time. This process is repeated over the course of the session.
It hydrates the colon walls to loosen accumulations in the colon and encourages the peristalsis
(natural colon muscle movement) to assist your colon in releasing.
At the completion of the session, you will be assisted off the table to the bathroom where further
emptying may continue. The colon hydrotherapy session does not inhibit or restrict you from carrying
out your normal daily functions. We would suggest that you choose a day without too many obligations
so that you can give yourself this time to nurture yourself.

SUGGESTED PREPARATION
For those who drink carbonated beverages, stop drinking them at least a week prior to your session.
They cause a lot of bloating in your colon and many times it requires the entire session just to
release this bloating (gas) from your colon. Take extra fiber in the form of Golden Flax Seed ground
into a powder which can be put on food or in a drink. The suggested amount would be 1TBS in the
AM and 1TBS in the PM. Drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water a day. Example:
a 100 lb. person would have as their minimum goal 50 ounces per day.
We will give you further suggestions, if desired, when we meet individually with you.
WHAT PEOPLE REPORT FOLLOWING THEIR SESSIONS
